Is Theraband Black the same as SImpleShot Black?
The answer is definitely no. Theraband black is about half the thickness of SimpleShot black. If you shot the same cut of both bands, you’d see a huge difference.
So don’t make the mistake of thinking they are the same. Both are great products, but they are very different!
Latex. It’s what drives slingshots. The slingshot is just the fork that holds the most important piece: the latex. And not all latex is created equal. There are many kinds of latex out there. Different thicknesses, different resistance to elements, varying colors and dimensions.
Please always wear safety glasses. No matter what your target, always put the glasses on. No matter what you may have seen (even pros forget or get sloppy sometimes), remember those glasses all the time.
Band elongation is one of the most critical yet misunderstood factors of slingshot performance. If you are not elongating your bands to the correct factor during the shot, you’ll have one of two problems. Too much power for your ammo or too little power and a totally underwhelming experience.
Without a consistent anchor point, accuracy is impossible. Imagine shooting with only one open sight! Imagine shooting a bow without an anchor point!
Slingshots are no different. Two aiming points are necessary, so your anchor point is critical to success. Watch this video to get an overview of the anchor point.
