Why do you NOT recommend shooting stones?
It is not so much that you cannot shoot stones from a slingshot, but rather that our slingshots come equipped with pouches optimized for spherical projectiles.
Attempting to shoot an irregular shaped stone using a pouch designed for smaller spherical projectiles is a recipe for fork hits, damaged bands, and unhappy slingshot shooters. Who wants that?
